Add and Manage Users
Once your users have been provisioned, this is where you define who can sign in to WorkSights and what each person can see and do once they are in. User management lives in your account's Team settings and can be updated at any time.
If you have not yet completed provisioning, start with User Provisioning before continuing here.
Login Access
WorkSights separates data visibility from login permissions. Not every imported user needs the ability to sign in to WorkSights.
- With login access - the user can sign in and access WorkSights according to their role.
- Without login access - the user cannot sign in, but their activity still appears in reporting for managers and executives who have visibility over them.
This means you can maintain accurate reporting across your full team without granting sign-in access to everyone in your directory.
Roles
Roles determine what each user can see and do in WorkSights. Assign a role to each user based on the level of access they need.
Owner
The highest-level role. Owners manage all account-wide settings, integrations, user administration, and billing.
Executive
Executives have broad visibility across the organisation, including account-wide activity and reporting. They can adjust account-level settings and support leadership reporting.
Technical Admin
Designed for IT and operations teams. Technical Admins manage integrations including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Atlassian, GitHub, Zoom, and others, but do not have access to the work activity of other users.
Manager
Managers can view and edit data for their direct reports: schedules, roles, records, and profile corrections. This ensures reporting remains accurate for their teams.
Member
The standard role. Members can view their own data and manage their personal preferences. They cannot view other users' information or modify account-level settings.
Roles can be changed at any time from a user's profile under Accounts and Roles.
What Happens Next
Once login access and roles are confirmed, continue to Assign Manager Relationships to define reporting lines and ensure each manager sees the right people in their feed and reports.
