Salesforce Notes
Account context lives in notes. A summary after a discovery call, internal observations before a renewal, a handoff note between reps: this is the substance of account work that rarely makes it into structured CRM data. WorkSights captures both modern Lightning notes and legacy pre-Lightning notes, surfacing them on the timeline so that context becomes part of the continuous record of activity rather than something buried inside individual Salesforce records.
For connection steps and an overview of how Salesforce activity works, see Salesforce Integration Overview.
How Note Activity Appears
Notes are captured via the polling sweep and appear within 10 minutes of being created in Salesforce.
The activity title shows the note title:
- Note: Discovery call summary
- Note: Q2 Business Review prep
- Note: Account health check
The activity detail includes the note body text, so the content of the note is visible directly on the timeline without opening Salesforce.
What WorkSights Receives
Modern Notes (Lightning): Notes created using Salesforce’s Lightning-era Notes feature are captured with both title and body content. These are the notes created from the Notes and Attachments related list on any record in the Lightning interface.
Legacy Notes: Notes created using Salesforce’s pre-Lightning notes format are also captured with body content. These are most relevant for orgs that have not yet migrated to the Lightning experience.
WorkSights backfills 30 days of notes on first connect. If your team needs notes from further back, contact support via in-app chat with the time range you need.
What Is Not Captured
Note edits and deletions are not currently captured. Only the original creation event appears on the timeline.
File attachments linked to notes are not ingested. WorkSights captures note text only.
